Parallel
is in Winnipeg Sept. 11-13, 2025

Parallel: The History and Archives of Artist-Run Centres in Canada is 5-year SSHRC-funded project co-led by Devon Smither (University of Lethbridge) and Amber Berson (Concordia University). The project aims to document the history and support the archiving of artist-run centre histories across Canada. Devon is also planning to curate an exhibition about the history of ARCs on the Prairies. I am helping with some preliminary research and am reaching out to ask about the status of your institution’s archives. Are they digitized at all? Have your archives been deposited with an institutional archive?  Have you produced any publications about the history or anniversaries of your ARC?
